She said she had “FOMO”.

Fear of missing out, is what FOMO is about.

Lets start with a story…
One day she was having a conversation with her friend and they both looked happy and healthy, they talked for hours discussed every aspect of life and said goodbye later in the evening.

She in her mind : My friend looked so happy today , her life is all happy and she is doing everything I wanted to do.

Friend’s thought : Wow she looked amazing , how happy was she in her world, I have nothing and I do nothing in comparison of her.

The END.

Summary : Life is always better for the other one.. as simple as we know that grass is always green on the other side.

Story title is : FEAR.

Its a simple description of mind , where what we have in never enough in our eyes. There can be many reasons for that but one simple explanation is we live in this fear of missing out from the league that we choose to neglect what we have and show no gratitude towards it. Question she had is from where we get this fear ? is it some kind of illness ? does it comes around at certain age because she had hardly seen any little kid living in that fear.

She who tries to find all these answers jotted down one thing, FOMO is real and it originates from your surroundings, its definitely not an illness but bigger than that because illness can be treated but this fear keeps coming back as you can not change your surroundings that easily, with surroundings she meant your family, friends, neighbors, society, work ..the whole F world. you can’t change it because everyone is living in that fear without even knowing it.

Now a days the reel life (social network) of every human being is so beautiful that you really think they are having the best of each world hence that feeling of fear kicks in and you sink in it. Please before you are drowned just take a deep breath, open your eyes and check your social networks … you will get the movie straight and realize you are doing the same and making someone else feeling the same, you have also projected the sugar coated cherries in your handles for someone else to look for and compare against. There is no end to it, one complaining is also the one doing the same thing. Having a fear is OK but complaining and not doing anything about it is not. Learn from your fears, realize from your own experience and grow with your potential. Comparisons and cribbing will never bring the satisfaction, no matter what you do.

To be honest, she is not even trying to change the world or change you , but want to make peace with it. She want you to realize what your achievements are before comparing yourself to other, it can be anything as simple as learning how to make coffee to as big as making a spaceship. Show gratitude towards yourself and your people , who are there for you always. Best way to overcome this is to learn from a child who is living in the same world but without FOMO because kids don’t judge nor compare, they go with the flow….. happy or sad doesn’t matter as long as you are ready to take it.

SHE.

You are not alone in this, love yourself and lift others. Don’t hide in dark come out and shine bright.
